The Jubilee River story - Myrke Embankment and Ditch - January 2012

Eight years on - and the saga of the Myrke Embankment and Ditch continues as the embankment and ditch (designated main river) deteriorates.

The Myrke embankment was severely damaged by flood water in January 2003 and had to be dismantled and reinforced.

Having been rebuilt in 2004 at a cost of 1.3m the embankment is still degrading. The Myrke embankment problems - 1.3m repair
