Kingsmead Quarry - What Horton Parish Council knew from April 2011
What really disturbs me is that responsible individuals who new that something was amiss in April 2011 apparently chose to ignore the issues and just passed the problem to the RBWM - who in turn passed it on to the Environment Agency.

The Clerk reminded all present that the Annual Parish Meeting would be held at 7.30 pm
on Tuesday 12

Fete Committee. One requested the use of the recreation ground for the fete which is
being held on Saturday 6
th August 2011 which was agreed. A request for a financialdonation could not be discussed until the next meeting at which it will be a specific
agenda item.
A communication was received from residents of Datchet Road requesting that the Parish
Council take all necessary measures to have the recently constructed sludge pits on land
previously worked by Cemex, removed or filled in. The Council was asked to ascertain
if planning permission was required and, if so, at what meeting was this agreed or raised.
It was agreed that this was outside the control of the Parish Council and thus the letter
would be passed to the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead with a request that
they reply direct to the correspondent. Councillor Rayner declared an interest and took
no part in discussions.
