Kingsmead Quarry - The first brick wall?

I received no reply to my e-mail dated June 2nd 2011 so I tried again............

I sent the following e-mail (with the original) to the local Borough Councillor for the area - Colin Rayner with a copy to Councillor John Lenton.

Saturday 4th June 2011

Colin

I am resending this e-mail because I do not appear to have received a reply from you or Cllr Lenton.  Maybe you are away?

I do consider this subject to be both important and urgent, so while awaiting your response I have been doing a bit of research into the regulation of handling, storage, transport and disposal of slurries.

It is not for me to determine whether this slurry disposal activity is legal, authorised and safe, but common sense suggests to me that alarm bells should be ringing here!

I am not sure who owns this land, but the site has obviously been selected for the disposal operation because it is both remote and discrete.  If you would like a guided tour to the site, please let me know!

I am copying this e-mail to Roger Marlow in order that both Horton and Wraysbury Parish Councils are made aware of this issue, and I will be contacting the press on Monday.

Ewan
