Kingsmead Quarry - Just how long has this gone on for?

There is evidence to show that slurry was being transported into Kingsmead Quarry as long ago as 2005.

The uncorrected historical evidence passed to me and entitled Pollution on kingsmead island lake ? was posted by an angler on the Cemex forum and dated 14 February 2005 as follows:

I spent last week on the island lake and on wendsday afternoon a blue waste liquid lorry , of the type that emptys sess pits and the like . pulled up beside the lake and emptied the contents of his lorry , onto the field bordering the dirt track, that the rmc aggrigate lorries use at the back of the pit . the contents poured directly off the field and into the lake in what i can only describe as a torrent . i took half a dozen slides of the whole incedent and even went over in the boat to photograph the liquid running off the field .
surely this cant be right , what was it he was dumping ? another couple of lorries came down the track the following day , but appeared to dump there stuff around by the small pit next to the railway line .
all in all the whole situation just did not look right and proper .
i feel that the situation needs looking into.
