The Jubilee River story (1215) - Wraysbury and the Magna Carta.

The 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta is due in 2015 and quite rightfully there should be some significant celebrations, but let us not overlook the details.  I do not dispute claims that the parties assembled on the South bank of the Thames at Runnymede in Surrey, but my assertion is that the Magna Carta was actually sealed on the North side of the Thames - within the Parish of Wraysbury - which lies in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and in the County of Royal Berkshire.
