The Jubilee River story - Guidebook of Applied Fluvial Geomorphology

I have now referred to this Guidebook for a second time due to its importance!!!

The Environment Agency's Guidebook of Applied Fluvial Geomorphology FD1914 should be mandatory reading for anybody involved in watercourse management and/or flood defence.  Basically it reveals that watercourses change over time. Nothing new there then!

At about 250 pages the document is very big, detailed and complex, but well worth reading if you have the time and inclination.
