Kingsmead Quarry - The notices
Soon after I started asking questions about slurry operations at Kingsmead Quarry and the resulting nauseating odours, a series of notices were posted around the site.
The wording is as follows:
This is an old land fill site. This area of the old gravel pit has been filled with landfill. The land is waiting to be contoured, drains installed and will then have topsoil placed over a subsoil base. The land will then be restored to woodland or farmland as per the RBWM planning permission. Please be patient while this land is being restored from an old gravel pit.
