The Jubilee River story - Gauges submerged!

There is gauging installed just upstream of Black Potts Weir. 

It is interesting to note that the gauging is submerged at a very early stage in the flood event.

Please see the series of three images of the same gauge below entitled 'Going, going, gone!' that illustrate the problem.

I do remember that when permitting the MWEFAS project, the Minister issued a Direction that obliged the operators to record the water levels.....
