Wraysbury Drain now dry!
The Wraysbury Drain in Wraysbury, Berkshire has gone dry and the fish are now dying.
Neither the local council (RBWM) nor the Environment Agency are interested in this Ordinary Watercourse.
This watercourse is about two miles long and runs from Wraysbury Station to Hythe End approximately parallel to Station Road, High Street and Staines Road.
The mage below is looking South from the Long Bridge on the Windsor Road (27/7/2010) - the water is normally from bank to bank and has dropped about 400mm.
