Wraysbury River at Moor Lane - EA negligence!!

Below is is a view upstream of the Moor Lane off-take in Staines taken on 25/5/2010.  The off-take flow control structure is to the left and enables flood water to by-pass the downstream section of the river..  It appears that the conveyance capacity of the Wraysbury River is now severely limited due to unrestrained weed growth over 75% of the channel width   Please note that although the left-hand flood bank is beautifully mown, the EA appears unable to maintain the watercourse.

Message to the EA - If you can make the time to clear this watercourse, please let me know.
