Possible solutions in respect of 'The Big Issues'

Crime & Vandalism:

The reinstitution of caning, birching, National Service, lower the age of criminal intent (responsibility or whatever) to 12, preferably 8 years old.

Education:

Police visiting schools to educate on the effect of childhood crime on future employment, lifestyles etc.

School holidays and half-terms eradicated – enforced Community work like litter collection instead, so the staff can at least have some time to plan their lessons/strategies and have stress relief and parents can have the same rest.

Flooding:

The Jubilee River diverted to form a moat around Horton and Wraysbury and stocked with alligators and Piranhas.  This will alleviate the flooding as the water will be here anyway but carefully channelled.

Planning and Development:

Permission to have several sets of stocks in each village for miscreants.

CCTV footage of vandals blown up into individual posters and displayed on every lamp post with a caption “Does this child belong to you?”

Road Traffic, Highways and footpaths:

Footpaths patrolled by packs of Rottweilers especially trained to discriminate between vandals and law abiding citizens.

Pit traps in all roads automatically operated to entrap fleeing vandals.

The above to be paid for (by non-residents and passing thro' traffic especially H.G.Vs) at toll booths at every entrance point to the village.
