An e-mail received from a Wraysbury
resident
Dear Mr Larcombe
Having had 2yrs of large increases on my house
insurance I thought that I would see if there was a more competetive quote
around.
Since 2003 I knew that insurance companies were
tightening up on flood areas but I did not expect the following:
Norwch union-----------refused to quote on
flooding post code
More Than--------------- Same
Tesco----------------------- Same
Barclays------------------ Same
Churchill---------------- Same
Esure--------------------- Same
Prudential-------------- Same
AA----------------------- Same
Lloyds TSB------------ Same
I could go on.
After 2 hours of endlessly speaking to insurance
companies it became obvious to me that just about all major insurance
companies will not take on any new customers with my post code.
So if you still have flood insurance be
aware that changing could put you out in the cold.
I predict that in not too many years all houses
with Wraysbury post codes will have no flood insurance.
For this I beleive we have the E.A to thank for
their total mismanagement of the Jubilee river in 2003.
Regards,
Wraysbury Resident.
