The EA and Hydropower -
Double standards
When it comes to Hydropower the Environment Agency appear to operate two separate sets of standards, one for themselves and another one for everybody else.
It seems to be acceptable for the EA to support a planning application for hydropower on the Thames at Windsor (their land/watercourse), but for anybody else wishing to install a small scheme on their own watercourse, the process is made difficult or (preferably) impossible.
If you have a problem with the EA blocking or inhibiting a small hydropower proposal, please let me know!
