Horton & Wraysbury Election - Thursday May 3rd 2007 - 7.00am to 10.00pm

Ewan's answers to Frequently Asked Questions-

1)    If you are elected alongside a Conservative, are you prepared to work with them for the benefit of the community?     I am indeed!

2)    How do I contact you?    Ewan's contact details

3)    Standing as an Independent, do you belong to a Political Party?    No!

4)    Who tells you what to say and do?   As an Independent I will listen directly to the people of Horton and Wraysbury and then decide what is best for the residents.  For more details, please see - Standing as an Independent and try a Google search for ewan larcombe to see what I have been working on!

5)    What is your opinion of the Environment Agency?

Your money (and mine) pays EA people, but they are unaccountable for their actions, and only interested in reducing the risk of flooding in Windsor, Eton and Maidenhead.  They have no hesitation in diverting Thames floodwater (at the press of a button) on to defenceless downstream villages, because it is a cheap (and easy)solution.   My opinion of the EA is unprintable, but just ask me when you see me, send me an e-mail or just 'phone me!

6)    What are your campaign main issues?        The local BIG issues

7)    How do I contact you?    Ewan's contact details

8)    What have the Conservatives done to reduce the probability of flooding in this area?    Almost nothing!  Indeed Cllr. Jesse Grey (Conservative - Datchet) has repeatedly stated that the 2003 flood event was "an act of God" and 'if you live on flood plain, you should expect to get flooded sometimes'.  This is not a view that I support, and for four years his statements have actually been detrimental to my local campaign for equity and justice.    Copy of letter to Conservative Party  Further information on flooding

9)    Who is standing for election?    Statement of persons nominated

10)    Where and when do I vote?        At your own Parish Village Hall on Thursday May 3rd 2007 - 7.00am to 10.00pm.

11) Why should I vote for you?     I already have a track record of fighting for the local community over a long period of time (try a Google search for ewan larcombe to see what I have been working on).   I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to represent Horton and Wraysbury!

12) What was your biggest ever challenge?     At eighteen years of age I rode a pedal bicycle from here to Pisa (Italy) - and back - on my own!
