Morpeth Flood Action Group meets [Monday 3rd November]

THE Morpeth Flood Action Group is holding a meeting on Monday [3rd November] at Morpeth County First School, Goosehill from 7pm.

In attendance will be a loss adjuster, a builder and an expert in flood barrier protection systems.

The group, formed among those affected by the September 6 flood, is building a network of help, support and information distribution and is urging residents to lobby councillors, MPs and the Environment Agency about the recovery programme and improvements to flood alleviation.

Leaflets are available at Castle Morpeth FirstCall on Bridge Street and the New Life Christian Centre on Dacre Street, which has telephone and Internet access.
