Dear Campaigner

As you know the NFF regularly meet with Association of British Insurers to
keep them in the picture as to what really is happening 'on the coal face.'
We discuss possible improvement that could be made within the insurance
industry as a whole to improve the level of service they give us. Following
our last meeting It was agreed that it would be a good idea if we met with
some insurers to discuss how they could improve the guidance that they
provide to customers immediately before, during and after a flood and during
the aftermath (5 things you think we should be telling them) and generic
issues around the performance of the industry. It has now been agreed that
Paul Hendy and myself will meet with them to discuss these issues at the
beginning of April. Do you have any ideas as to how the insurance industry
could improve its service to us?
If so please get back to me and I will include your thoughts in our
discussion. Obviously I take many calls on a daily basis from individuals
needed advise and Paul continues to work with people in Humberside and
Yorkshire ~ so we have plenty to say. However we also need and very much
value the input from all the community groups on our books, so I look
forward to hearing from you.

Also please don't forget to send me your response/thoughts to the Defra
consultation on urban drainage~ even if it's only a few lines.

With kind regards

Mary
