Letter from Ian Thompson

To Ewan Larcombe Datchet Parish Councillor.

Ewan.

I wish to place on record with the Parish Council my dissatisfaction and disappointment with our Datchet Borough Councillors having voted against Councillor Malcolm Beer's proposal regarding, the addressing of ordinary watercourse and River Thames management. Matters which have been raised by the communities with the intention to seek resolution through the Thames Flood Forum with the Environment Agency together with the support of the Royal Borough.
These matters are of prime public safety in the time of flooding affecting the community and their actions and therefore voting against the proposal is negative and a disgraceful slight against Datchet residents and other riverside residents.
Neither Borough Councillors have been present at recent D.P.C. public question times and are therefore unavailable to account for their actions. This poses the point that I raised at the last council meeting, that they appear to have disengaged themselves from the D.P.C. and from the community for which they were voted to represent.
Please place this letter on file to the Datchet Parish council within your flooding agenda section.
Yours sincerely

Ian Thompson.
Resident.
