'Atkins Report censored by EA'
In April 2006, failure of a 2.4m diameter water pipe caused serious damage and property flooding in Datchet.

In 2008, I requested information about the problem firstly from the HSE (who were unable to help) and secondly the EA who offered me an explanatory letter and a censored report (shown below).
Page 8 is the most extreme example of censorship, and records 'worries over hydraulic failure'. Pages 9,12,13,17 and 18 are also heavily censored.

Not only is the Commons expert in redacting their expense claims but now the EA is - both to suppress the truth.
Innocent question - how much of the reservoir report is valid had the burst pipe occurred during flooding similar to that in 2003 ?
You may not realise it but it seems the EA spends more money on black ink than it does on flood prevention !
