Breaking news: Reports of flooding in Hull

Flash flooding in Boulevard, west Hull, near the junction with Airlie Street was this afternoon threatening to swamp houses in the street.

A spokesman for the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said a call had come in but the brigade had not yet "mobilised". 

One resident, Jill Atkinson, 38, of Boulevard, said she contacted the council at lunchtime to report blocked gullies were causing problems.
