Two 'Public Questions' submitted by Ewan Larcombe

        - for RBWM Council Meeting 26 June 2007

Q1       This Council may be aware of recently revealed Environment Agency proposals to rebuild a flood bank upstream of the Taplow Control Structure on the Jubilee River at a cost of £1.4m.  Can you please explain why this flood bank needs rebuilding?

Q2       The innocent inhabitants of floodplain downstream of Windsor are now threatened by an ever increasing probability of flooding over which they have no control, and which affects both property values and insurance costs.  In my experience, the previous administration appeared unsympathetic to their predicament.  What action is this Council taking to reduce the probability of flooding downstream of Windsor?
